Chapter 180 Once More

Zayne slowly rose as he headed toward the mirror, gradually sinking into it. Solomon and Rea did not try to stop him, they looked at him as if mesmerized.

\'What a strange power... He used some skill, but I\'ve never heard of anything like that...\' Solomon pondered, examining Zayne with his deep eyes, \'In an instant, he lost all his energy, however, his physical power has definitely increased. Damn, he looks like he\'s carrying a mountain on his shoulders, his steps are so heavy...\'

Zayne disappeared completely, left alone only with the darkness from which his adversary was soon to emerge.

"Father... Are you sure you should have let him do that?" Rea asked with a worried expression as she wrapped her arms around herself, "Even Third Year students are not advised to enter the Mirror Room more than once every few hours. It puts too much pressure on the mind."

Solomon gulped, he knew Rea was right, but, in fact, there was nothing he could do since Zayne was already inside.

Step. Step. Step.

Enar stepped forward, steady as last time, gradually approaching Zayne.

\'Fine... Now with one powerful blow, I can throw him back and buy some time to get used to his strength... then, I\'ll know what to do to win.\' Zayne muttered inwardly, keeping his eyes on Enar.

Suddenly Enar disappeared, but, this time Zayne saw everything clearly, every step Enar took as he was in front of Zayne in a few movements, drawing his flaming blades.

\'Nice! I got him!\' Zayne exclaimed inwardly, unleashing his fist on Enar, which was the first blow of the eight available as well as the most powerful.

Enar\'s pupils narrowed as he took a step back and crossed his blades in front of him, taking in the full force of Zayne\'s blow, which rippled through his body with shivers.

Zayne smiled as his plan worked, but, before he could even blink, Enar returned one blade to his belt and brought his fist up to attack. He clenched it tightly as his fist was covered in scarlet flames, then he attacked.

In a heartbeat, the fire engulfed Zayne\'s body, bringing him terrible pain and burning him to the ground, flesh first, then bone, until nothing remained. This time death was not lightning fast, so he felt everything, each part of his body that screamed in agony.

"ARGH!!!" Zayne cried out, finding himself in the main room as he fell to the ground, staring into his reflection.

Solomon shook his head, he had seen many horrible things in his life and could understand what Zayne was going through just by the look in his eyes.

"Zayne... You need to rest. Two fights in the Mirror Room in less than ten minutes... that\'s too intense. At this rate, your mind just can\'t take it... Moreover, your emotions are obviously getting in your way." Solomon said calmly as he placed a reassuring hand on Zayne\'s shoulder.

Zayne looked at him, opened his mouth, and his eyes went blank, he just collapsed, unconscious.

"Well... That\'s exactly what I was talking about..." Solomon shook his head.

Rea approached him, "Father, you want Zayne to take part in the tournament, don\'t you?"

Solomon smirked, "Hey, how did you know about that?"

"Pffft." Rea snorted as she crossed her arms, "It\'s pretty damn obvious. Our academy is running a tournament in a week for the younger generation and absolutely everyone can participate, whether they\'re Mages, Knights, or even Travelers like Zayne."

Solomon nodded silently.

"In any case, Alden probably would have informed him and sent him to the tournament on behalf of the Redfall Family, however, you beat him to it." Rea waved her hand.

Solomon sighed, "Well... I didn\'t mean to deceive Alden, it\'s just that Zayne needs to prepare properly for the tournament to get beyond the first few rounds. By the way, that goes for you too, you can\'t even enter the tournament yet. You need to reach the First Ring for that."

Rea blushed as she turned to the side and with an awkward look, muttered, "I\'ll do my best... I don\'t have much left..."

"I know, that\'s why this is the start of your week of exhausting training." Solomon smirked, with narrowed eyes that made Rea shudder and even fear for her future.

...

The sun\'s rays fell on the young man\'s face, gradually awakening him from his long sleep. Zayne turned around, frowning at the sun, then he slowly rose.

Beside him, on the table, there was a letter as well as a cup of tea with steam coming from it, as if someone had just brought it and left.

"Damn... Am I at the Mage Academy or the luxury hotel...?" Zayne scratched the back of his head as he reached for the letter.

[Zayne, Rea, and I will be busy with her special training, so you\'ll have to prepare yourself for the tournament that starts in six days. Good luck!

By the way, you can use the Mirror Room whenever you need it! Try to improve your time!]

Zayne was puzzled, he had many questions and absolutely no answers. He didn\'t even know there was a tournament coming up, but, a bitter smile appeared on his face. He finally understood why Solomon had brought him to Zexiton.

"Well... Though I wasn\'t expecting it, I think it will be exciting. I\'ve never been in a competition before." Zayne muttered as a glint appeared in his eyes.

Crackle.

Suddenly the door opened, and a girl in a maid\'s outfit stepped inside. She had long black hair neatly folded in a braid. Her face was as cold as her green eyes as if nothing mattered to her.

"Agh... Do you need something?" Zayne was confused, he didn\'t understand what the maid was doing there, especially since he already had hot tea.

For a while, the girl just stood against the wall with her arms folded as if she was waiting for an order, though in fact, she was exploring Zayne.

"Pleased to meet you. Tell me, have you seen my present yet?" The girl asked with a slight smile.

"Are you talking about the tea? I haven\'t had a chance to try it yet..."

The girl shook her head, "No, I\'m talking about it."

Her ring flashed as a cube of ice appeared in her hand, with someone\'s heart inside.
