Chapter 848 - Third Prince, Fa Xuan!

Chapter 848: Third Prince, Fa Xuan!

Edited by RED

Lin Feng raised his head and looked at the man in black clothes, who was actually Chu Chun Qiu.

Chu Chun Qiu didn’t need to wear a mask now, because Lin Feng knew his real identity. Apart from Lin Feng, who knew Chu Chun Qiu? Nobody...

Chu Li walked up to Fa He, but he then he saw Lin Feng and grinned. Most people couldn’t see anything strange about Lin Feng’s appearance, but Chu Chun Qiu and Lin Feng had known each other for so long that he could see through the small changes on Lin Feng.

Lin Feng was nervous because Chu Chun Qiu knew who he was. If he told everyone Mu Feng was Lin Feng, then the Fa Lan Empire would kill him. He might also tell everyone about their fight.

Even though Lin Feng hadn’t finished in the top six of the Great Competition and hadn’t ranked first, he was still famous; as famous as Chu Li, if not more!

Chu Chun Qiu noticed that Lin Feng felt nervous, he smiled expectantly and drew closer.

“Long time no see, old friend,” Chu Li smiled at him.

“What?”

“What? They’re old friends?”

“Chu Li knows Mu Feng? How is that possible?”

Everybody was astonished, including Fa He and the elders.

Fa He was dumbstruck. He hadn’t thought Chu Li knew Mu Feng, and on top of that, they were old friends? How was that possible?

Lin Feng looked at Chu Chun Qiu sternly and said telepathically, “Don’t ruin my plan.”

“Lin Feng, what are you doing? Do you need me to help?” Chu Chun Qiu asked in amusement. Of course, he replied to Lin Feng telepathically. Nobody could hear anything, but they saw the two smile together.

“No need. Just don’t ruin my plan,” Lin Feng answered.

“Alright, I won’t cause trouble, what’s your new name?”

“Mu Feng,” Lin Feng said calmly.

Chu Chun Qiu nodded and smiled widely. “Mu Feng, long time no see. What are you doing here?”

“Your Excellency, you know Brother Mu Feng?” Fa He couldn’t help but ask. He was also curious about Lin Feng.

Chu Li glanced at him and asked, “Who are you?”

“He’s the Second Prince of the Fa Lan Empire, Fa He,” Lin Feng introduced.

“Oh, the Second Prince? Excuse me for my lack of manners!” exclaimed Chu Li, smiling and entering the palace, ignoring the elders’ furious expressions.

Lin Feng looked after Chu Chun Qiu, then he turned around and forgot about him. Chu Chun Qiu didn’t cause trouble, so that was enough.

“Brother Mu Feng, you really know Chu Li?” asked Fa He. He was astonished. If Lin Feng knew Chu Li, it meant he couldn’t be an insignificant and unknown person.

“Mind your own business. Your job is the banquet, so focus on that,” Lin Feng said, shaking his head.

Fa He looked annoyed, but he didn’t dare get angry. Since Mu Feng knew Chu Li, it also meant he probably had a powerful background. Maybe he was from an ancient sect or clan...?

Fa He was now convinced he had made the right decision. He was determined to do his best to make Lin Feng stay at his side.

——

Time went by, a few hours passed. More and more geniuses arrived: Xuan Mei Er from the Ancient Xuan Clan, Garuḍa from the Ancient Beast Clan, and Yuan Guang from the Yuan Hall among others.

In the end, a skinny young man dressed in simple clothes showed up. He didn’t look happy, but was vigorous... and alone.

Fa He looked at him mockingly.

“Brother, our father has never accepted you. What are you doing here? Go back to the borderland village,” Fa He told him icily.

Lin Feng was surprised. This person was the Third Prince, Fa Xuan, the only one who wasn’t really part of the imperial family anymore. His mother was just an ordinary woman; he had no background, the Emperor didn’t like or even hated Fa Xuan.

Lin Feng wondered why the Third Prince had decided to come on today...

Without the Emperor’s permission, Fa Xuan wasn’t allowed to come into the imperial palace.

Fa Xuan looked at Fa He. They were brothers, they shared the same father, but they had nothing to do with one another.

The emperor even wanted to remove the Third Prince title from Fa Xuan and make him turn a completely ordinary person, but Fa Duo had forbidden him from doing that.

Fa Duo was the only person who was relatively kind to him.

“What? Aren’t you going to talk? You think silence can regain your dignity? Hmph! Leave now. You left the borderland village; that is a great offense!” When Fa He saw Fa Xuan didn’t reply, he was furious.

Lin Feng looked at Fa He. At that moment, he saw the real Fa He. He wasn’t any different from the two others.

Lin Feng instantly hated him. He had compassion for Fa Xuan. That guy had had a difficult life, his father had abandoned him because of his status, nobody in his family liked him... Lin Feng couldn’t help but remember the Lin Clan.

“Brother, I need to talk to the Emperor. I hope you will let me pass,” said Fa Xuan hoarsely. He took out a jade pendant; it was old, but shiny.

“What? You think I’ll move because of a jade pendant?” said Fa He smiling mockingly and disdainfully.

Bam! Fa He slapped the jade pendant. It fell to the ground and broke into pieces.

“You broke the jade pendant my mother gave to me?” Fa Xuan paled, and his eyes were suddenly filled with murder. He clenched his fists.

“Your mother? You mean a prostitute from the palace? She gave you a jade pendant? She probably stole it!” Fa He mocked Fa Xuan. “Alright, I’m busy here; leave now and go back to the borderland village, or I will ask my father to punish you,” said Fa He. He didn’t feel like wasting time talking to Fa Xuan.

“Brother Mu Feng, let’s go inside,” Fa He smiled smugly.

Lin Feng felt disgusted. He turned to Fa Xuan. Fa Xuan’s eyes were teary, and he seemed devastated.

“Wait, you should let him come in. Imagine there’s a problem in the borderland village and you prevented him from going in? Then the Emperor will punish you because you will be responsible,” Lin Feng said, not moving.

Fa He looked at Lin Feng strangely, but he had no choice but to admit Lin Feng was right. He had thought of that problem. Preventing someone from reporting to the Emperor about a problem in their territory was an offense too...

Fa He nodded and brought Fa Xuan inside.

“You, follow us,” said Fa He icily as he continued walking. He had listened to Lin Feng’s request and didn’t really feel happy about it.

Lin Feng looked at Fa Xuan. He stretched out his left hand, and all the pieces of the jade pendant moved into his grasp. Lin Feng used Genesis Spiritual strength to fix it’ one could see that it had been broken, but it was better than nothing.

“Here. It must be a priceless treasure for you,” Lin Feng said, smiling at Fa Xuan.

Fa Xuan was touched. He quickly took the jade pendant and put it back on. “Thank you,” said Fa Xuan, smiling earnestly.

“You’re the Third Prince?” asked Lin Feng, even though he knew already.

“Hehe, what Third Prince? Nobody knows about me. I would prefer to be an ordinary person, to be honest,” said Fa Xuan smiling wryly. His eyes were filled with sadness, though.

“Alright, let’s go,” Lin Feng said, smiling patiently. “Are you familiar with this place?” Lin Feng was quickly lost. There were two corridors made of purple stones, but the place seemed boundless.

Because Fa He was angry at him, he had already left. Lin Feng came to the conclusion that Fa He was even worse than Fa Yin. At least Fa Yin did his best to please him and respected him.

“Even though I’ve never been here for long, I know the way. The banquet is today right?” asked Fa Xuan thoughtfully.

“It’s not a big deal. They just invited a few young geniuses here,” Lin Feng confirmed.

Fa Xuan nodded and smiled, “Alright, so it’s that way. Big events always take place in the Heaven and Earth Temple, the Emperor’s coffin chamber.”
